Ralph Tuijn has set a new world record to bike from Cairo to CapeTown in 80 days, promoting the FairWater Appeal for more durable handpumps and fundraising for the FairWater Kilimanjaro project in Tanzania.

This project rehabilitates broken down handpumps in Northern Tanzania with the durable BluePump, in cooperation with the MamboViewPoint Eco-Lodge . The unique aspect of this project is that sponsors of a complete handpump (costs 2.500 Euro) can actually combine a touristic safari to the Kilimanjaro area and visit their "own" handpump in a village.
